To achieve the aim of the kindheartedness(仁者), the book puts forward a view that a man of noble character is the ideal moral character, It also provides the moral standard and moral demands.

1. proper views (正見 Zhèngjiàn) 정견

2. thought (正思Zhèng sī:正思惟) 정사

    4. karma (正業Zhèng yè) 정업

5. livelihood (正命Zhèng mìng) 정명

    6. vigor (正勤Zhèng qín:正精進Zhèng jīngjìn) 정근

    7. mindfulness (正念Zhèngniàn) 정념

8. concentration (正定Zhèngdìng) 정정

Sutra Text:

• From the mark’s perspective, it is 108,000 lis away, which is just because of the ten evils and the eight deviations within us. It is explained as far for those of inferior roots and as closeby for those of superior wisdom.”

• 若論相說。里數有十萬八千。即身中十惡八邪便是。說遠。為其下根。說近。為其上智。

• Nếu luận tướng nói, có mười muôn tám ngàn dặm, gọn nói chỉ là mười ác và tám tà trong thân. Nói xa đối người hạ căn. Nói gần cho người thượng trí.
• 만일 현상계로 논하여 말한다면 거리가 십만 팔 천리다 하셨는데, 이것은 곧 몸 가운데 십악(十惡)과 팔사(八邪)를 가리킨 것으로 멀다고 하신 말씀이다. 멀다고 설하신 것은 낮은 근기를 위한 것이고 가깝다고 설하신 것은 높은 근기를 위한 것이다.

• which is just because of the ten evils and the eight deviations within us即身中十惡八邪便是: just beyond the 10 evils and 8 deviancies of the body
